MMPC Funding Programs
The Mouse Metabolic Phenotyping Centers provide access to multiple funding mechanisms to encourage the development of new and novel tests as well as enhance research activities that use the MMPC infrastructure. These funding programs are open to the public and submissions are variable based on the program. This page provides information regarding the current funding programs available and will be updated regular to reflect any changes or additions.

MICROMouse: MMPC Initiative for Collaborative Research On the Mouse
Please Note: The Pilot & Feasibility Program is now part of the MICROMouse Program

Research objectives for MICROMouse projects should reflect the MMPC mission to provide high quality metabolic studies of mouse models relevant to diabetes and obesity. MICROMouse will fund high impact technology-, physiology-, or biology-based projects conceived through interaction with, or between MMPCs

DCC/MMPC Summer Student Opportunities Program in 2010

As part of the mission of the DCC and MMPC, data generated for the various animal models is deposited in a shared database. The exact nature of how the data can be used by the scientific community is an area of interest. Therefore, the DCC and MMPC are accepting applications from investigators to fund students during the summer to mine the data currently deposited in the shared database. The idea is for students to develop a thought experiment asking biological questions about diabetes, obesity, diabetic complications, or other metabolic diseases or specific animal models and use the DCC/MMPC sites to generate data and/or provide analyses.
