Experiment

Body Composition, Glucose, Insulin and Leptin in Prkdc/SzJ mice on HFD
(MOBPHARM102020)
Summary Data Summary
Investigator Boss, Olivier
Description Human obesity and diabetes are clinically diverse diseases with multifactorial
involvement. It would be unrealistic to try to model these disorders using a one
dimensional in vitro system. The diet induced obese (DIO) strain of mice are a
well characterized model that is able to capture some of this clinical diversity
seen in human metabolic disease. Testing a short list of compounds shown to have
efficacy in a cell culture system in the DIO mouse will help us identify
potential therapeutics agents for the treatment of obesity, diabetes and/or
their associated comorbidities.
