Common Name NCoR delta
Description NCoR-omega and NCoR-delta share a splice acceptor but
utilize two distinct splice donors. Splice-specific NCoR
knockout mice were generated by the Mouse Biology Program at
the University of California at Davis (UC Davis). The
NCoR-omega splice donor was inactivated by site-directed
mutagenesis in mice without disrupting the NCoR-delta splice
donor or the NCoR-delta protein sequence to generate
NCoR-omega -/- mice.

A loxP site was inserted upstream of exon 38 and an FRT
flanked neomycin resistance cassette with a 5' loxP site was
inserted downstream of exon 41. Flp-mediated recombination
removed the selection cassette and left exons 38 through 41
floxed. Cre-mediated recombination removed exons 38 through
41, encoding two of the three receptor interacting domains
(N2 and N3).
