B6.129-Ccnd1tm5.1Pisc Tg(Alb-cre)21Mgn

Summary Data Summary
Official Name B6.129-Ccnd1tm5.1Pisc Tg(Alb-cre)21Mgn
Common Name B6.129-Ccnd1tm5.1Pisc Tg(Alb-Cre)
Description Liver-specific cyclin D1 KO mice were generated by crossing
mice expressing a floxed Cyclin D1 allele (mixed background
between 129/SvJ and C57BL/6 and back-crossed to C57BL/6 for
5 times) with albumin-Cre expressing mice.

Ccnd1: An FRT-flanked neo cassette with a 3' loxP site was
inserted upstream of exon 2. An additional loxP site was
inserted downstream of exon 3. Flp-mediated recombination
removed the neo cassette and left exons 2 and 3 floxed.

Alb-cre: The transgene contains a 2.34 kb mouse albumin
enhancer/promoter (M. Magnuson verified mouse promoter,
personal communication), a nuclear localization
sequence-modified Cre recombinase gene and a 2.1 kb fragment
from the human growth hormone gene. The promoter is active
in hepatocyte cells of the liver. 7 copies of the transgene
are estimated to be present. Line 21 inserted into the gene
at 3172116-3172120 (Build GRCm38/mm10) resulting in a 4 bp
deletion. Founder line x has a copy number of approximately
10.
