Retroviral insertion disrupted the gene between coding exons
1 and 2.

Nrg4 knockout mice were purchased from the Mutant Mice
Regional Resource Center (MMRRC) at the University of
California, Davis, and backcrossed for more than ten
generations to the C57BL/6J background.
