Lipoprotein profiles of sPTEN mice fed HFD and treated with AAV-PCSK9

Description Super-PTEN (sPTEN) mice exhibited a healthy and tumor suppressive anti-Warburg
phenotype. Previous data have shown that PTEN has an anti-inflammation and
vascular protective effect. In the current project, we hyothesize that sPTEN
mice are protected against atherosclerosis. WT and sPTEN mice were treated with
1.0 × 10^11 GC/ml of PCSK9 via retro-orbital injection and then subjected to
high fat diet feeding for 12 weeks to induce atherosclerosis. Blood samples were
collected at the end point into heparinized eppendorf tubes and plasma was
collected by centrifugation.
